About

After falling pregnant with her first child, Lynsey was taught self-hypnosis for labour.  She loved the idea of hypnotherapy and started to wonder if it could be combined with nutrition to help people achieve their goals more effectively.  Soon after, Lynsey trained to become an hypnotherapist and Food for Thought was born!

Lynsey is passionate about natural, holistic health care and has helped many people to change for the better.  She continues to do training courses throughout the year to ensure that she stays abreast of new research as it becomes available.  Recently, Lynsey has started to focus on the role that Functional Medicine plays in modern health management.

Functional medicine emphasises a definable and teachable process of integrating multiple knowledge bases within a pragmatic intellectual matrix that focuses on functionality at many levels, rather than a single treatment for a single diagnosis. Functional medicine uses the patient`s story as a key tool for integrating diagnosis, signs and symptoms, and evidence of clinical imbalances into a comprehensive approach to improve both the patient`s environmental inputs and his or her physiological function.

The Institute for Functional Medicine teaches health care professional`s how to apply these principles in practice in relation to nutrition physical examination and laboratory analysis though an intensive 2.5 day practice training programme.

Lynsey attended and completed the inaugural Functional Nutrition Workshop training in London 2014.
